JACKSON BIRTHDAY CEREMONY AND CONFEDERATE FLAG RALLY SATURDAY, JANUARY 13, 2001 - 11:00 a.m. LEE/ JACKSON DOUBLE EQUESTRIAN MONUMENT ART MUSEUM AND WYMAN PARK DRIVE BALTIMORE, MARYLAND All Confederate and Federal reenactors, Sons of Confederate Veterans Camps, United Daughters of the Confederacy Chapters, period civilians, heritage organizations, friends, family and spectators are cordially invited to join us for the annual ceremony in Baltimore to honor General Robert E. Lee and General Thomas Jonathan "Stonewall" Jackson on the anniversary of their births. IN MEMORY OF GENERAL CHARLES E. HILLSMAN Many of you have now become aware of the sad news of the passing of General Charles E. Hillsman. General Hillsman was a fine gentleman and much admired in the reenactment community. A special prayer will be offered in his memory at the Lee/Jackson ceremony. Reenactors are encouraged to wear black arm bands, black mourning badges, or to attach black streamers to their flags in his memory. The ceremony is sponsored by the Colonel Harry W. Gilmor Camp # 1388, Sons of Confederate Veterans and the Maryland Division, United Daughters of the Confederacy. The ceremony will included music from the War Between the States, remarks on the occasion and the placing of memorial wreaths and floral tributes at the monument. The ceremony will be held on January 13, 2001 at 11:00 a.m. at the Lee/Jackson Monument at Art Museum and Wyman Park Drive, Baltimore, Maryland.
