Looking for units engagements prior to Antietam, group pictures, and info on where Captain Harris may be buried. Could be part of unknowns buried at Rose Hill Cemetary in Hagerstown. ARKANSAS CAVALRY UNITS

Hardeman's C.S.A. Cavalry Unit

Company A

Ancestors

Hall, P.H. - My ggfather, P.H. Hall's tombstone reads, Company A, Hardeman's Cavalry. However, I received his pension papers from the State of Texas and it states he signed up in Arkansas with "Company D, Wells Regiment, Gano's Brigade." Was told about Coooper's Division Indian Department? Have not been able to locate the numbers relating to these units. We are very confused by the information not matching his tombstone but no one remembers who put it up. I am sure it was P.H. Hall because he lived in a very small town and all of the county and town information is correct including the date of death. Please help. James McCormick McCJames@aol.com
