  • Fry, Josiah, Corporal - I am trying to locate informaTion on the 2nd Kentucky Volunters, It was a regiment made up of Ohioians from around Cincinnati.     Yerby N. Oranger Residence not listed; Enlisted on 8/14/1862 at Owensboro, KY as a Private. On 11/17/1862 he mustered into "F" Co. KY 12th Cavalry He was Mustered Out on 8/23/1865 at Louisville, KY

  • Bastin, George W. - I am trying to find some information on the 19th Kentucky Infantry, Company K. Two of my Great Uncles (brothers) served in this unit. John B. Bastin & George W. Bastin both were captured at Sabrine Cross Roads, Louisianna and interred as POWs at Camp Ford, Tyler, Texas until their release. I have pulled their military records and browsed through them at the National Archives in Washington, DC but cannot seem to find much history on the unit.   • Middleton, William B. - I am looking for rosters for the 3rd Kentucky Mounted Infantry of General Nathan Bedford Forrest's Confedeate Army. These men enlisted in April 1864 and fought at Brices Cross Roads. My relative was from Ballard County and was in Company F. He was a 4th Corporal. Thanks, Richard A. Middleton, at ramid@tenet.edu
